Why do Americans have to pay so much for College???

i know there is a huge college/university lobby here in the us that lives off of students paying, in some cases, enormous amounts of money just to attend.. putting politics aside, if that is possible, (and i am not a bernie sanders guy by any means), but how can we pay for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, elementary school, junior high, high school, and then throw a huge debt to someone who wants to continue learning?

can't the us (public and state universities) afford four more years for young people to get on a career path without having to, in some cases, take out a mortgage/loan more than the cost of some homes?

then, (and nothing against immigrants, i am married to one), but then the us has to "import" students from other countries to fill the needs that we should be supplying here.

To begin with when this easy money loans for college began who didn't see this coming? With all this easy money greed set in. College cost started climbing and climbing to were what was once affordable or at lease manageable is now ridiculously high. High schools should also offer more vocational training in areas that are most needed in the job market. As a examle what use to be low wage jobs in construction are now good paying jobs and are in great demand. Private schools is not the answer because most are run by religious organizations or some upstart private organizations. Both put mind control teachings or are so greedy they screw everyone involved. Can't begin to tell you how many in our area got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and closed down.

The back bone for education in this country has always been public schools. Need to keep religion out of it! Those who are college bound, more power to them. Those who are not give them good vocational training were the jobs are. That's my thoughts anyway. Still Totally ADD

Sea Breeze do you know what congrgation received this letter? I do know as a elder in FL we were taught we had elder/ publishers privilege. Similar to a priest/lay person privilege. All so called confessions were considered privilege information and could be keep from outside authorities. I have been out of the loop for over 9 years so because of the child abuse issues it may have changed. Your letter is from 28 years ago but as far as I know was enforced up to the time I left. I have been living in this area since 2011. Lili Dale is pretty much a one horse town. But what a beautiful area to live in. Nice warm summers, colorful falls. The winters are really snowy. Close to 200 inches a year on a bad winter and like this year close to 60 to 90 inches. Crystals, fortune tellers, drum circles and many lectures on the were are the dead. They have a big festival there every year.

I don't know why the borg will not let the flock witness there. Maybe they are afraid they might be made into thinking people. Lol. Still Totally ADD

That is funny we drive through there all the time. Have not seen any demons yet! Good friend of mine is a spiritualist preacher. It is real big deal here in the summer time. All kinds of events taking place there. Still Totally ADD

First Proper Chat With the JWs in Almost 11 Years

since disassociating in october 2008, i've had little to no direct contact with the jws, apart from immediate family members (ie my parents).

i've lived in my rented flat since may 2014 and haven't had a knock on the door in that whole time.

until saturday morning.

the Watchtower guide to sex.

it occurs to me the gb probably dont have much experience when it comes (!

) to marital sex guidance, so i think its only fair and reasonable we should put together a few hints to help them publish a suitable guide.. it is well known a lot of jw's get married in order to have sex, and all to frequently the marriages fail, possibly due to sexual problems, so the watchtower guide to sex should prove to be very worthwhile.. any jw courting couple intending to get married should be allowed to have a copy of the guide, and should only be available by a special order through the body of elders.. copies are not available to any single bros and sisters.. all and any advice in it must adhere to bible principles, and certainly no salty language or smut will be allowed.. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.

so--to get this started--and in no particular order--here is my first suggestion:.

The guides are this no holding hands at the meeting during the prayer. Someone may think you are wanting sex. Before going to bed for sex you need to read the bible and pray first then you can only kiss in a loving way no and I mean no passionate kissing. NO oral, anal or mutual masturbation. If one does succumb to this go directly to the elders and give complete details on what you did. Only have sex to produce a child but it's better you don't have any children. If one does give in to sexual passion with ones mate make sure you pray throughout the copulation and only in the missionary position. Have fun! Still Totally ADD
